DK03-43 -
A "Herculean" Success Story
Undoubtedly one of the best known bulls in the country
at the moment, Devlan Stavely Hercules DK03-43 is truly
a Limousin success story.
His achievements started racking up as a Junior bull,
and continued throughout his Senior career. He is still
breaking records today.
His abundant show successes during his years at Devlan
include: |
■
He was the Reserve Gold Cup Interbreed winner at the
Pretoria Show in 2009.
■
He bred the 3 animals that won the “Sire Group of Three
Award” at the Pretoria Show in 2009.
■
Reserve National Senior Champion Bull at the National Show
in Vryburg 2007
■
Reserve Gold Cup Winner at the Vryburg Show in 2006.
■
Breed Champion Bull at numerous local shows.
He also performed incredibly well outside of the show ring,
siring calves of an outstanding quality. This breeding
success resulted in unprecedented semen sales of over R300
000 to date.
Devlan Staveley Hercules further astounded all by obtaining
the National Limousin Record Sale Price of R160 000 when he
was sold to Johann Faber in Okahandja, Namibia. Here he
went on to win the Interbreed Bull at the Windhoek Show in
2010 and the Fabers subsequently sold semen to the value of
R120 000 at R300 per straw.
His son, Devlan Hercules DK07-92, displays much of his
Sire’s promise. This Gold Merit Award bull represented the
Limousin breed at the ARC Phase C class in Pretoria in 2009
and was subsequently sold to the Lotterings in Gobabis,
Namibia for a whopping R140 000. DK07-92’s progeny look
equally promising.
We are confident these successes will continue in his new
home, and look forward to hearing more exciting tales of his
achievements in the future. |
